Construction Manager – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Canada
Electria is supporting our client, a leading global battery energy storage systems (BESS) manufacturer and EPC provider, in their search for an experienced Construction Manager to join their Project Implementation team in Nova Scotia.
About the Role You'll provide onsite leadership during the construction of utility-scale BESS projects — liaising with the project owner, owner's engineer, EPC, and sub-contractors, driving HSE compliance, and keeping construction on schedule and on quality.
What You'll Do Lead site planning meetings covering construction, equipment installation and commissioning Oversee contractors and workers to maintain high standards of quality and safety Ensure work is executed per approved drawings, procedures and codes Manage RFI and NCR processes to resolve construction issues Track daily progress against milestones and drive recovery plans when needed Evaluate subcontractor change orders and monitor schedules, invoices and submittals
What You'll Bring Registered building practitioner 5+ years in construction/EPC, ideally on utility-scale renewable energy projects Strong risk management, negotiation and conflict resolution skills Proven track record delivering construction projects independently and in a team Valid driver's license and willingness to travel and be based onsite for the construction period Proficiency in MS 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
