Role Description The Owner at Affirm is a full-time, on-site role based in Toronto, ON, responsible for end-to-end ownership of a critical business domain, product area, or operational function. This role sets the vision and strategy, defines priorities, and aligns cross-functional partners to deliver impactful outcomes for customers and the business. Day-to-day work includes analyzing data and customer insights, making informed decisions on roadmap and resource allocation, and coordinating with teams such as engineering, product, finance, operations, and marketing to ensure timely and high-quality execution. The Owner regularly reviews performance metrics, identifies risks and opportunities, and implements improvements to enhance transparency, efficiency, and user experience. This role also champions Affirm’s values, fosters an inclusive environment, and contributes to continuous process and product innovation. Qualifications Ability to develop and own strategy for a product, program, or business function, including defining vision, goals, and measurable outcomes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data, research, and customer insights to drive decisions. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives, coordinating with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and managing complex projects. Proficiency in business and financial acumen, including understanding key performance indicators, budgeting, and return-on-investment considerations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present plans, trade-offs, and results to diverse audiences. Proven ability to take ownership, operate with autonomy, and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices and a collaborative, respectful work culture. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or related field; equivalent experience in product ownership, business leadership, or operations management is highly valued.
