Buffalo Trail Public Schools is seeking a highly organized, professional, and collaborative Executive Assistant to provide high-level executive, administrative, and operational support to the Secretary-Treasurer.
This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of our Central Services team, supporting Board governance, Business and Finance operations, and a variety of corporate initiatives that contribute to the effective operation of Buffalo Trail Public Schools.

About The Role
Reporting to the Secretary-Treasurer, the Executive Assistant provides executive, administrative, and operational support while contributing to the effective delivery of Business and Finance services across the division.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio that includes Board governance, corporate administration, project coordination, risk management, financial communications, and organizational initiatives. Success in this role requires sound judgment, exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a confidential and fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
Provide executive and administrative support to the Secretary-Treasurer. Coordinate Board governance activities, committee administration, and corporate records. Support risk management, insurance administration, contracts, and corporate agreements. Assist with financial communications, reporting, and administrative systems. Coordinate divisional projects and corporate initiatives while tracking priorities and key deliverables. Build collaborative relationships while providing responsive, professional support to schools, departments, trustees, and external partners.

Communicates effectively through professional correspondence, reports, and presentations. Takes initiative, anticipates needs, and enjoys improving processes. Works collaboratively while also being comfortable working independently. Enjoys coordinating projects and seeing them through to completion.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Office Administration, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Several years of progressively responsible administrative experience, preferably supporting senior leadership within education, government, or another complex professional environment. Experience coordinating projects and initiatives, or education or training related to project management, would be considered an asset. Strong proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications. Other qualifications the Division may find appropriate and acceptable.
