4 Season Solutions Ltd. is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Landscape Construction Labourer to lead residential and commercial hardscape projects across the GTA and Durham Region.

We are looking for someone who can be trusted to run projects independently from start to finish. The ideal candidate should be capable of arriving on-site with a site plan, organizing the crew, managing materials and equipment, and completing projects to a high standard with minimal supervision.

This is a leadership role for someone who takes pride in proper base preparation, clean installs, efficiency, and delivering a professional finished product.

Responsibilities

• Run daily job site operations independently
• Read and interpret landscape construction drawings, layouts, and grading plans
• Coordinate crew tasks, material usage, and project timelines
• Ensure projects are completed efficiently and to Company standards
• Communicate with management regarding project progress, issues, and scheduling
• Ensure all work is completed safely and professionally
• Maintain clean, organized, and productive job sites
• Train and mentor crew members

Hands-On Construction Responsibilities

The successful candidate must be fully capable of performing and overseeing:

Hardscape Installations

• Interlocking pavers (patios, walkways, driveways)
• Retaining walls
• Front entrances and steps
• Natural stone installations
• Concrete and hardscape features

Base Preparation & Site Work

• Excavation
• Base installation and compaction
• Grading and drainage
• Site layout and elevations
• Proper slope and water management

Equipment Operation

• Skid steer
• Mini excavator
• Plate tamper and compactors
• Cut-off saws and other landscape construction equipment

Leadership Expectations

This position is intended for a foreman who can:

• Be left on-site with plans and complete projects with minimal direction
• Problem solve independently on-site
• Manage a 2?4 person crew effectively
• Ensure quality workmanship without constant supervision
• Keep projects on schedule and organized
• Maintain professional communication with clients when needed

• Backyard landscape construction
• Retaining walls and structural repairs
• Poolside hardscaping
• Concrete and natural stone features

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years experience in landscape construction / hardscaping
• Previous foreman or crew leader experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of:
• Base preparation and compaction
• Grading and drainage
• Interlock installation
• Retaining wall construction
• Ability to read and understand site plans and layouts
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Valid G driver?s license
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Assets

• Experience with higher-end residential projects
• Experience operating skid steers and mini excavators
• Concrete experience
• Leadership and crew management experience
• Ability to troubleshoot and adapt on-site
