Job summary
We’re Hiring: Recreation Therapist/Program Manager The Leamington Mennonite Home is seeking a positive, reliable and compassionate Recreation Therapist/Program Manager to join our team. This working leadership role is responsible for assessing residents’ recreational needs, developing and delivering meaningful individual and group programming, supervising recreation staff, students and volunteers, and supporting departmental operations across our long-term care and retirement community. Qualifications include: • A degree or advanced diploma in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation or a related field (Social Work, Human Kinetics, Psychology) • At least two years of experience working with seniors • Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills • Knowledge of dementia care, therapeutic recreation and resident-centered programming • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is an asset This is a full-time, permanent position, primarily Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with occasional afternoon and weekend shifts. Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year (depending on education/experience) Benefits include HOOPP pension eligibility, dental care, vision care and paid time off.
