TekStaff's Client has a current vacancy for "Program Manager" Job Description Role Responsibilities / Typical Day in Role: Vendor management: management of the deliverables and the outcomes of the vendor Project Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with Scotia Tech’s strategic goals and business objectives. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, technology teams, and external partners, to ensure alignment and transparency throughout project lifecycles. Risk Management: Implement robust project management methodologies and processes to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring successful project delivery. Escalate critical issues and drive decision-making and accountability by supporting cross-functional executive and senior management forums to align opportunities, challenges and required actions. Effective Communication: Consistently interact professionally with clients both in business and technology to manage project expectations and deliverables within allocated timelines and budget. Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure the quality of project deliverables, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Manage Priorities: Effectively manage changing priorities, project risks and issues along with impact and mitigation plans. Facilitate change requests for major impact on scope, schedule, resourcing, and budget. Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills: 10 + years’ project management experience Hands-on experience with Murex and experience in Treasury and Capital market required 10+ years of experience with demonstrated executive presence and proven delivery leadership Experience managing projects with budgets of $10 million or more (smaller budget programs may not be a fit) Nice-To-Have Skills: Experience in other Top 5 banks / FIs - mutual funds, insurance companies, etc. Previous Scotiabank experience ION experience is preferred, not required Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Highly motivated, detailed and result oriented Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to recognize and comprehend complex issues Educational Requirements: Post-secondary education is nice-to-have, hands-on experience preferred PMP or equivalent certification preferred Interview Process: 1st Round: 30 minutes | Teams / Virtual | Interview with HM 2nd Round: 60 minutes | In-Person | Hiring Manager & Director (44 King St) Focused discussion on delivery leadership experience, exposure to Murex, Treasury, and Capital Markets, and experience managing complex programs. This round will also assess cultural fit and stakeholder management capabilities 3rd Round: 60 minutes | In-Person | VP TekStaff may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools as part of the applicant screening process. However, applications will also be reviewed by a member of our Recruitment team to ensure a fair and thorough assessment.
