PROJECT MANAGER – ICI / INSTITUTIONAL CONSTRUCTION Greater Toronto Area, ON $130,000 – $160,000 + Benefits | Full-Time Our client, an established General Contractor and Construction Management firm, is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its growing construction team. The successful candidate will have a strong background managing institutional and commercial construction projects and will be capable of taking projects from preconstruction and procurement through construction, closeout and turnover. Responsibilities Manage ICI construction projects from preconstruction through completion Develop and maintain budgets, schedules, procurement plans and cost forecasts Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, architects, engineers and clients Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts and project documentation Lead subcontractor procurement, scope reviews, negotiations and buyout Monitor project costs, schedules, risks and overall progress Lead project meetings and provide regular reporting to senior management and clients Work closely with site teams to resolve construction issues Oversee project closeout, deficiencies, commissioning and turnover Qualifications 5+ years of Project Management experience within ICI construction Strong institutional construction experience Experience with projects such as municipal facilities, schools, healthcare, recreation/community facilities, government or other public-sector construction General Contractor or Construction Management experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of construction contracts, drawings, specifications, procurement, scheduling and cost control Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills Construction Management, Engineering or related education is an asset What's Offered $130,000 – $160,000 base salary, depending on experience Competitive benefits Established construction organization with a strong project pipeline Long-term career growth Projects primarily located within approximately one hour of the GTA

Requirements

Requires over 5 years of project management experience in ICI construction, specifically with institutional or public-sector projects. A background in General Contracting or Construction Management and relevant education in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
