Job summary
Project Manager - Service Job Summary We are seeking an organized and customer-focused Project Manager - Service to coordinate awarded service projects from sales handoff through completion and closeout. The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, Scheduling, Field Services, and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, accurately tracked, and completed to customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Manage the service order backlog, ensuring projects are properly tracked, prioritized, and progressed. Coordinate the transition of awarded service projects from Sales into execution. Review project scope, deliverables, timelines, materials, and customer requirements with internal teams. Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse teams to ensure materials and parts are ordered, received, and available as scheduled. Work with Scheduling to coordinate resources and adjust schedules as required. Monitor project progress and maintain accurate updates in company systems. Communicate proactively with customers regarding project status, timelines, and inquiries. Identify and escalate potential delays, material shortages, scheduling conflicts, and scope issues. Coordinate project closeout, including documentation, customer signoffs, administrative requirements, and billing information. Maintain clear communication between internal departments throughout the project lifecycle. Support a positive customer experience and timely project completion. Qualifications Post-secondary education in Business, Operations, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Previous service or project coordination experience in a fast-paced environment. Experience in material handling equipment, industrial services, or a related industry is an asset. Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strong documentation and follow-up skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with ERP, CRM, service management, or work-order management systems is an asset.
