Project Management Build strong relationships as needed with individuals at all levels of client organization to ensure client has a positive, value-added experience each time. Communicate effectively with clients as and when needed to understand their needs and liaise with internal teams to ensure execution. Read line drawings – communicate and liaise with Engineer, Sales, Clients and Production to understand requirements for build-out of lighting and control systems. Support sales teams, quotations, production on shop floor and customer inquiries throughout all project stages for timely production and delivery with a consultative approach Create and maintain complete documentation, drawings, specifications, and compliance records for each project and ensure accurate information flow across design, engineering, procurement, and sales. Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint: determine the cause of the problem, select and explain the best solution to solve the problem, expedite the correction or adjustment, follow up to ensure resolution. Ship orders within Canada, the US, and Internationally. Manage shipping: labels, packaging type: box, skid. Share informationon building cases for oversized orders etc. Create and maintain detailed records in client files of all communication relating to client’s needs. Record all orders, changes, delivery, warranty, service, complications etc. Schedule inbound/outbound couriers, carriers, clients avoiding delays and extra charges. Support off-site indoor/outdoor installations. Product Samples & Library: submit sample request to Production, track and receive loaned samples, and invoice unreturned samples. Maintain and organize the product samples library and inventory Product Marketing & Support Product Expert - Be completely versed in company lighting products and technology offerings and applications Support projects team, sales, quotes, design and marketing with project knowledge Support marketing and advocacy initiatives that contribute to brand awareness and sales growth Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Management to assist in coordinating events and customer-facing initiatives for business support and growth Support and represent SGi Lighting at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events as required Flag award-winning and notable projects for presentations, website, and social media General Responsibilities All staff must execute and lead responsibilities by example and with humility. Provide timely updates to management and teams for project status, risks, challenges and priorities Source resources required for project execution. Recommend and implement process improvements Enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction Perform additional duties as required to support overall company operations Assist with onboarding and training new employees, sales agencies and associates Qualifications & Experience Required Self-starter and motivated Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail Microsoft Office applications and computer skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable working in a busy hands-on, multi-tasking environment 1–5 years of experience in the lighting industry or a related technical field Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Projects and other applications Assets / Nice to Have Practical knowledge of LED lighting systems and electronics Familiarity with smart lighting and control systems (e.g., Control4, Lutron, Crestron) Ability to read and understand construction and single-line drawings Photography and videography experience Electronics manufacturing or LED production experience Hands-on technical, repair, or maintenance skills Forklift certification (training can be provided) Additional Requirements Willingness to attend trade shows and company events Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and collaborative attitude Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow within the role Must be personable and possess a good work ethic and personal hygiene Sense of humour (training provided) Work Conditions - Physical Capabilities Sitting, standing for extended periods ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Terms of Employment: Onsite, Permanent, Full Time, Day Transportation: Own vehicle – Bus route also available Languages: English Salary: Based on experience Anticipated Start Date: Open As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we are proud to support the growth and equality of our people.
