Our client is seeking a contract based Senior Scrum Master to support the delivery of complex digital initiatives across multiple technology teams. This is a hands-on delivery role for an experienced Scrum Master who can drive execution, bring structure to complex initiatives, remove roadblocks, and keep teams focused on delivering high-quality digital products and solutions. The organization is also progressing through an Agile transformation supported by Agile Coaches. The successful candidate will be expected to reinforce strong Agile practices while maintaining a clear focus on delivery, accountability, collaboration, and business outcomes. Duration: 6 months to start Location: Mainly remote (Toronto) Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day delivery of digital projects and initiatives across cross-functional technology teams. Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other delivery activities. Work closely with Product Owners, engineering teams, UX/design, QA, architecture, and business stakeholders to keep initiatives progressing. Manage delivery risks, issues, dependencies, blockers, and competing priorities across teams. Maintain visibility into delivery progress, milestones, commitments, and areas requiring leadership attention. Partner with Product Owners to ensure backlogs are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for delivery. Drive accountability and help teams consistently deliver against sprint and project commitments. Coordinate dependencies across technology teams and broader enterprise initiatives. Support teams through organizational and process change while reinforcing effective Agile ways of working. Partner with Agile Coaches to embed improved delivery practices and continue building Agile maturity within the teams. Provide strong facilitation and leadership during challenging discussions, helping teams make decisions and move forward. Promote continuous improvement in delivery practices, team effectiveness, quality, and predictability. Requirements 8+ years of experience in technology/digital delivery, including significant experience as a Scrum Master, Senior Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or similar role. Demonstrated experience delivering complex digital products, platforms, applications, or customer-facing technology initiatives. Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and practical experience applying them within technology delivery teams. Experience working with cross-functional teams spanning product, engineering, UX/design, QA, architecture, and business stakeholders. Strong delivery management skills, including risk, issue, dependency, milestone, and stakeholder management. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and dependencies in complex enterprise environments. Strong presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence teams and senior stakeholders without direct authority. Ability to challenge teams constructively, drive accountability, and maintain momentum when delivery becomes difficult. Experience supporting teams through Agile transformation or changes to delivery practices. Experience with delivery tools such as Jira and/or Azure DevOps. Scrum or Agile certification such as CSM, PSM, CSP-SM, PMI-ACP, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent is preferred.

Requirements

Candidates must have over 8 years of experience in technology or digital delivery with a strong background in Scrum and Agile methodologies. Proficiency in delivery tools like Jira or Azure DevOps and relevant Agile certifications are highly preferred.
