Role Description The Special Project Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB, responsible for coordinating and overseeing special equipment and maintenance projects. This position manages project timelines, tracks deliverables, and liaises with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure materials, equipment, and services are scheduled and delivered on time. The coordinator reviews project requirements, prepares documentation, monitors inspection and maintenance activities, and follows up on any issues or delays. Daily tasks include expediting orders, organizing logistics for equipment movement, updating project status reports, and supporting site teams with accurate information and resources. The role also involves maintaining clear communication, supporting safety and compliance standards, and contributing to continuous improvement of project workflows. Qualifications Experience in expediting processes, including work as an Expeditor and handling Expediting activities to move materials and equipment efficiently. Proficiency in Project Management, with the ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate special projects from initiation through completion. Knowledge of Inspection practices to support quality checks on equipment, maintenance work, and project-related activities. Background in Logistics Management, including coordinating transport, delivery, and on-site placement of construction equipment. Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks. Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams. Ability to work on-site in a construction-related environment and adhere to safety and compliance standards. Proficiency with common office and project management software; experience with construction or equipment management systems is an asset. Relevant education or training in project coordination, logistics, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
