This role is accountable for end-to-end project delivery, including scope execution, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and financial performance. You will work closely with internal technical teams, field staff, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and in accordance with technical and contractual requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, field-connected environment and enjoys balancing technical execution with commercial responsibility. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Execution Lead HVAC retrofit and mechanical construction projects from initiation through completion Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and project requirements Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, and execution plans Provide technical direction to field teams and subcontractors Ensure projects are delivered in line with scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards Coordination & Stakeholder Management Act as the primary coordination point between internal teams, clients, and subcontractors Manage subcontractor performance, alignment, and deliverables Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication across all stakeholders Proactively identify and resolve project issues to maintain momentum Procurement & Logistics Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for project execution Manage delivery timelines to align with construction schedules Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure availability and sequencing of materials Financial Management Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability throughout the project lifecycle Identify variances and implement corrective actions when required Support margin performance and commercial objectives on assigned projects Site Oversight & Scheduling Attend site meetings and conduct regular site visits Monitor progress against schedule and adjust plans as needed Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and contractual requirements Project Close-Out Oversee full project close-out process, including documentation and client handover Ensure completion of all required deliverables (e.g., O&M manuals, turnover packages) Conduct post-project reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications & Experience Required 5–8+ years of project management experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, or construction Post-secondary education in mechanical engineering technology, HVAC, construction management, or equivalent experience Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation Proven experience managing subcontractors, schedules, and project budgets Assets PMP certification or equivalent project management designation Experience with natural gas, propane, or oil-fired mechanical systems Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and decision-making ability in field environments Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong commercial awareness with a focus on cost control and profitability Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects Self-directed, accountable, and results-driven Collaborative approach with strong interpersonal skills Additional Requirements Willingness to travel to project sites as required Valid driver’s license
