Currently, Manga Hotels owns and operates 35 hotels with over 6500 rooms across Canada and in the United States, 18 food and beverage outlets and 5 residential properties with several new properties and developments in the pipeline. As Manga Hotels continues to expand, we are actively seeking talented individuals to join our growing team. We are looking for a skilled and highly experienced Project Manager with at least 5 years of experience who can plan and oversee a hotel construction or renovation project from initiation to close. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Managing project planning, startup, execution, and closeout; Leading and overseeing all aspects of project from initiation to completion, including planning, engaging consultants and trades, execution and project performance, Reviewing all deliverables following completion of project, coordinating inspections, deficiency documentation, preparing close out documentation, and warranty claims; Preparing construction schedules, progress reports, and monthly reports; Managing trade contractor site meetings, RFIs, invoices, and document control processes; Leading negotiations with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and other third parties and oversee purchase orders and monitor progress and schedules; Preparing and issuing contracts with trades; Setting and managing deliverable expectations with all team members (internal and external); Preparing and monitoring construction budgets, including progress reporting as required; Data management, recording meeting minutes, coordinating trades and sub-trades, negotiations with contractors and suppliers; Liaising with consultants, contractors and trades, coordinating meetings and deliverables; Preparing estimates and bid comparisons, and procuring material for various projects, including negotiating pricing; Highly organized and responsive with the ability to work with agility and changing conditions; Preparing schedules by studying plans, updating specifications, identifying and projecting efficiencies; Resolving discrepancies in project deliverables by collecting, managing and analyzing information; Conducting site visits for supervision and coordination of trades and work; Maintaining continuity among corporate and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs; and Performing any other duties required to run projects professionally, smoothly and safely.
