This role offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about infrastructure projects, particularly sewer and water services, and eager to contribute to meaningful community improvements. Position Overview: The Project Coordinator will directly support Project Managers and site teams in coordinating underground infrastructure projects from tender through completion. You'll help ensure projects run smoothly by assisting with scheduling, cost estimation, documentation, and project communications. Key Responsibilities: Support the preparation of detailed quantity takeoffs specifically for underground projects. Assist in reviewing specifications and drawings to accurately determine project scope and requirements. Prepare and distribute requests for quotations (RFQs) from subcontractors and suppliers specialized in sewer and water construction. Coordinate the procurement and timely delivery of materials and equipment required for sewer and water projects. Maintain accurate documentation, including purchase orders, submittals, invoices, productivity reports, and change orders. Collaborate with site teams and supervisors to track project progress and address potential issues proactively. Ensure compliance with tendering requirements, including bonding, insurance, WSIB, and regulatory standards related to sewer and water infrastructure. Assist Project Managers in maintaining schedules and budgets, identifying areas to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Skills & Qualifications: Post-secondary diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field. Relevant skills and or experience in construction coordination, specifically within water, wastewater, or sewer infrastructure projects. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); knowledge of estimating and scheduling software considered an asset. Understanding of local municipal specifications, construction methods, and industry standards related to sewer and water infrastructure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal teams. Previous experience or formal training in project management (CAPM or equivalent) is an asset. Why Join Louis W.
