Responsibilities The full-time position of Fabrication Project Coordinator will report to the Fabrication Manager and will be responsible for all aspects of the assigned projects, including: Bid reviews to ensure all submission requirements are met Drawing reviews, take offs, material lists Developing project schedules as required Overseeing QAQC, ITP and QC tracking Project documentation organization and management Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, site requirements, and information Vendor Communication - Material sourcing & quotes, Ordering material, Issuing PO's, Receiving & Counting material Consulting with clients, vendors, and engineers Work with fabrication manager on cost control systems on all projects, including receiving, approving, coding, invoices, and sub-contractor progresses Monitoring progress and weekly reporting Managing the contract and tracking extra work Submitting accurate detailed progress claims Representing the company in a professional manner Detailing and shop drawings Qualifications, Competencies And Abilities Ability to read structural and architectural drawings Ability to interpret and utilize documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals or policies Ability to write reports and correspondence Ability to work effectively with other team members Ability to interpret and administer contract details Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Experience with Microsoft Suite of Products (Excel, Word, Outlook etc) Class 5 Driver's License and clean driver's abstract Benefits Casual dress Dental care Extended health care Life insurance Paid time off Ability To Commute/relocate Castlegar, BC V1N 4J4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Language English fluently (required) Work Location: In person

Requirements

Candidates must be able to read structural and architectural drawings and possess strong report-writing and communication skills. A Class 5 Driver's License and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required.
