Your new company Hays Construction & Development is partnered with a well-known and respected ICI General Contractor to recruit for a Project Manager with very strong new build & fit-up experience to join their team right away! They are consistently one of Ottawa's top employers in the construction industry Your new role As the Project Manager, you will report to the VP of Construction and you will be working within a strong team of construction industry professionals to accomplish the key goals of projects. There are 2 ongoing projects that will demand your attention on a day-to-day basis and then more projects to come in the future! As a key member of the on-site team, you’ll provide both technical direction and project management support to ensure the build meets the highest standards of design, quality, budget, and schedule. Your responsibilities will include scheduling & planning. Additionally, you will ensure tasks are sequenced efficiently and proactively adjust timelines to keep the project on track. What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this very important role, you must have at least 5+ years of construction management experience, ideally with large interior fit-up projects, up to $50M. You must have a government security clearance in place. Ideally, for Secret, Reliability will be considered. You must have a strong background in ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) construction with very strong and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera P6. Proven ability to manage contracts, subcontracts, and construction teams. Deep understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies, and quality control.
