We are currently seeking a talented individual to join the Transportation Planning Branch team. The Transportation Planning Branch supports the Transportation Division through strategic planning, management of the division’s capital budget, coordinating Federal funding agreements, and the delivery of service and process improvement projects. We are seeking a Project Manager to lead high-impact initiatives that improve transportation services, strengthen operations, and support government priorities. Reporting to the Manager of Divisional Services and Strategy, the Project Manager leads complex projects from concept through implementation and evaluation. Projects may include emergency and evacuation planning initiatives, service modernization projects, operational reviews, strategic planning exercises, infrastructure-related planning projects, and technology-enabled business improvements. A post-secondary education in business administration, public administration, project management, engineering, planning, information technology, or a related field; Significant experience leading complex projects from initiation through implementation, supported by formal project management training or frameworks; Experience developing business cases, project plans, budgets, risk assessments, and performance measures. Experience leading organizational change initiatives and engaging stakeholders in project delivery; Experience preparing reports, presentations, briefing materials, and recommendations for senior management; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification will be considered an asset. Experience leading transportation and/or emergency management initiatives in a public-sector environment will be considered an asset; Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered. Requires a post-secondary degree in business, engineering, or a related field and significant experience leading complex projects. PMP certification and experience in public-sector transportation or emergency management are considered assets.
