Reporting to the Director of Custom Solutions, the Project Manager will lead a team in the development and delivery of innovative underwater acoustic projects. You will be involved in resource planning, budgeting, and project execution. This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in managing a team to successfully deliver electro-mechanical hardware solutions. Candidates with project management experience in the naval, marine, defence, or aerospace industries and a background in electrical or mechanical design are strongly preferred. Projects may include power and electronics, firmware and controls, and mechanical and marine systems. Responsibilities Project Planning and Scheduling: Developing detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Team Leadership: Leading and motivating a team of engineers and other professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Quality Assurance: Ensuring that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and specifications. Technical Oversight: Providing technical guidance and support to the project team, ensuring engineering solutions are feasible and effective. Performance Monitoring: Tracking project progress, performance, and making necessary adjustments to keep the project on track. Compliance and Safety: Ensuring that all project activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols. Stakeholder Communication: Communicating with stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and team members, to provide updates and address any issues. Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on the project. Budget Management: Preparing and managing project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and financial objectives are met. Qualifications Post-secondary education in Engineering, Engineering Technology and/or related career experience. Minimum three (3) years project management experience. Proven experience managing engineering projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Experience managing large and complex projects in a similar industry. Professional Engineering designation, an asset. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards. Valid Canadian passport required.
