A Day in the Life Attend pre‑tender site meetings and prepare accurate takeoffs, estimates and participate in tender reviews Coordinate all bid requirements (bonds, deposits, certificates, CCDC documents, references) Maintain and update the shop drawing log; review drawings and submittals Review contracts for accuracy prior to signing Liaise with the General Contractor to expedite drawings and information Establish and update project schedules, site requirements, and communicate with Superintendents and the Service Manager Follow up on site issues and ensure deficiencies are completed for holdback release Attend site meetings and final inspections as required Approve project close‑out and confirm all invoicing is complete Review project progress for scheduling and organize daily/weekly field operations Maintain customer communication throughout project execution Ensure all revisions and change orders are documented and submitted for pricing Provide foremen with all required drawings, instructions, and documentation Submission of warranty compliance and O&M manuals, completed as part of project closeout Dispatching: Respond to service and leak calls as required and determine urgency Collect full customer information: billing address, site address, nearest major intersection, site contact, and phone numbers Dispatch calls to roof technicians, providing all the above collect information including the job number After Hours Emergencies: Maintain 24/7 on‑call availability during scheduled rotation Serve as the after‑hours contact for leak investigations Track primary and secondary crew availability, including weekend and holiday coverage Return to sites as needed for further investigation or recommendations What We Are Seeking 3-5 years’ experience working in construction is an asset with building envelope knowledge Education in a civil engineering / building science program or a related educational field Familiarity with construction methods and building codes Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and decision making abilities Strong negotiation and communication skills Ability to multi task and work in a team environment Ability to read plans and specifications What We Offer Competitive wages Excellent benefits program including Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and RRSP matching Great environment where our motto is “Flynn Family Winning Together”!
