Job DescriptionAs a Sales Team Member, you will manage customer inquiries, prepare accurate and timely quotes, coordinate purchase orders, and ensure seamless communication between customers and internal teams. This role is responsible for delivering solutions that meet customer needs while maximizing business margin and ensuring strict adherence to company processes.Additional duties will include:Interpret complex information including engineering packages to determine customer requirements and offer solutions that create high levels of customer satisfactionCreate accurate and professional quotations packages from customer specifications/drawings using applicable softwareNegotiate pricing and delivery terms with both vendors and customers; expedite orders when requiredPrepare accurate quotes based on tender documents and project specifications.Communicate clearly with customers regarding quote timelines, missing information, and clarifications.Follow up with customers to ensure orders are filled properly and promptlyInvestigate customer and vendor problems; resolve any pricing shortfalls and material returns in a timely mannerManage drawing requests, updates, and revisions in coordination with PM and drafting team.Track changes via Change OrdersProvide complete handover packages to Production, including drawings, quotes, vendor details, Project Overview Form, and transmittal letters as required.Support the Profit Centre team as an expert in the specifics around projects and product informationCommunicate to the Profit Centre Manager and Credit Department any changes in a customer’s business that might cause a credit riskPerform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre ManagerQualificationsGrade 12 diploma or equivalentA minimum of 1 year of related experience – preferably in the construction industryProficient in the use of Microsoft Office softwarePossess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrityAbility to develop comprehensive product and product application knowledgeExcellent customer service and sales experienceStrong planning and organizational skills; ability to work under tight timelines and multiple deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and teammatesEnergetic, self-motivated, and able to work independentlyAbility to learn and operate the applicable software Intermediate math skillsPreferred Skills:Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building products sold at the Profit CentreKnowledge of the construction industryPrevious sales experience Engineering skills are an assetAdditional InformationSalary Range - $60,000 - $68,000 + Eligible for Profit SharingWhy Join Our Team?EMCO Corporation is one of Canada’s largest integrated wholesale distributors of plumbing, HVAC, waterworks, and industrial products for the construction industry.
