At EBC, you will benefit from exciting professional development opportunities. During your Building - Division Co-op, you will be involved in various project management duties. You will assist a Project Management Team in various tasks pertaining to the job site, including planning, organizing, and supporting project execution works; from negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to providing support with work methods. You will also develop and suggest improvements to design standards, advise, and solve complex design and engineering issues on site. This co-op opportunity aims to provide exposure to construction estimation, onsite project management and temporary works engineering/review. Candidates will be required to report to various civil project sites in Ontario, along with the EBC Mississauga Corporate Office. Reach your full potential with us! RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor works daily through the technical and administrative tasks assigned to you. Plan and oversee works coordination with foremen, surveyors, superintendents, engineers, project managers and subcontractors. Prepare and follow up on technical issues in plans and specifications. Prepare, monitor, analyze and manage subcontractor files. Contribute to contract negotiations when necessary. Contribute to project scheduling. Obtain permits and authorizations required to carry out works. Plan and check material orders as needed. Assist, review and communicate technical questions and change requests to the customer representative and follow-up when required. Plan, supervise and contribute to the development of appropriate construction methods and processes per contractual requirements, while respecting current health and safety requirements. This can include the review and design of temporary construction engineering. Participate in site meetings with various project stakeholders. Follow up and manage deficiencies at the end of the project (if applicable). Complete quantity takeoffs from project specifications and drawings, and ultimately provide cost estimates for various scopes of work. Requirements REQUIREMENTS: B achelor’s degree in Civil Engineering ( or similar ) , in progress . Relevant experience in engineering or construction means and methods ( asset) . A d river's license and/or ability to travel may be required in some cases. Must be able to work onsite daily; Must be eligible and able to obtain a Federal Security Clearance. Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a similar field currently in progress. Candidates must possess a driver's license and be eligible to obtain a Federal Security Clearance.
