Here's the job details, Technical Program Manager with Agile Scrum Master experience Nearshore (Canada or LATAM) Overview We are seeking a dynamic combination of Scrum Master / Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive agile delivery, foster continuous improvement, and ensure seamless coordination across teams and technical layers. This role is responsible for enabling effective agile execution, maintaining delivery discipline, and ensuring that the team’s efforts align with overall business and technical objectives. The ideal candidate is both a servant leader and a systems thinker — equally comfortable facilitating agile ceremonies and resolving cross-team dependencies to keep complex initiatives on track. During the initial months of the program, the Agile Scrum Master role is expected to account for roughly 50% of the responsibilities. As the Scrum teams mature, the focus will gradually shift toward Technical Program Manager duties. Key Responsibilities Agile Delivery Leadership - Lead and facilitate all core Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews/Demos, and Retrospectives. - Serve as the gatekeeper of Agile practices, coaching teams on transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement. - Maintain Jira hygiene, ensuring accurate status, clear acceptance criteria, and real-time updates. - Ensure consistent story point estimation aligned with Agile best practices. - Monitor and analyze Agile metrics such as burn-down, burn-up, velocity, and sprint reports. - Manage dependencies across Scrum teams and track them to resolution. - Prevent scope creep and manage unplanned work appropriately. - Support capacity planning for sustainable delivery pace. - Mentor teams on swarming, limiting WIP, and high-performing behaviors. Technical Program Management - Maintain understanding of end-to-end solution architecture and business alignment. - Ensure technical alignment across Front-end, Middleware, and Backend teams. - Identify, mitigate, and escalate delivery risks and issues. - Facilitate technical discussions with Tech Leads and Architects. - Drive continuous improvement across delivery processes. - Recommend enhancements to delivery tools such as Jira and Monday.com. - Champion high-quality, on-time delivery aligned with product and architecture goals. Qualifications - Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or Technical Program Manager. - Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban. - Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Agile delivery tools. - Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills. - Strong analytical and communication skills. - Technical acumen to engage in solution-level discussions. Success Criteria - Predictable sprint delivery with improving velocity and quality. - Transparent, data-driven reporting on performance and risks. - Improved team engagement and reduced work in progress. - Positive influence on agile culture and delivery maturity.
