The Senior Project Coordinator will manage project schedules, budgets, and procurement while coordinating between consultants, contractors, and internal teams. They are responsible for reviewing construction documentation and ensuring project deliverables are met while maintaining site presence.
Job details
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Coordinator to join our growing Development & Construction team. This is a newly created role with the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of projects and work across development, construction, procurement and building improvements as we continue to grow our portfolio. This role is ideal for an experienced coordinator who is ready for more, more ownership, broader project exposure and the opportunity to grow toward a Project Manager role. What You'll Do Coordinate consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal project teams. Drive project schedules, meetings, action items and key deliverables, ensuring commitments are followed through to completion. Maintain building finish and furniture, fixtures and equipment schedules and coordinate selections and approvals. Coordinate purchasing, purchase orders, pricing and supplier relationships. Manage and track project budgets, commitments, invoices and costs, identifying variances and escalating risks as required. Review construction drawings, contracts, budgets, change orders and other project documentation. Support tendering and procurement activities. Attend project sites approximately 1–2 times per week. What We're Looking For 5+ years of relevant construction, development or property project coordination experience. Strong understanding of construction processes, terminology and documentation. Ability to read and understand drawings, contracts and budgets. Experience with procurement, purchase orders, budgeting and cost tracking. Strong Excel skills and experience working with consultants, contractors and suppliers. Highly organized, proactive and able to operate independently with the confidence to drive follow-up and hold project stakeholders accountable to commitments. Strong attention to detail with an eye for design and finishes. Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to project sites. Post-secondary education in a related field is preferred but not required. This role is based in our Burlington office 3–4 days per week, with regular travel to project sites approximately 1–2 times per week. Why Join Us This isn't a role where you'll be limited to tracking paperwork or supporting one piece of a project. You'll have the opportunity to work across development, construction, design, procurement and project delivery, partnering directly with internal leaders and external project teams. As our portfolio and Development & Construction team continue to grow, we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us. For the right person, this role offers a natural path toward increased project ownership and Project Management responsibility. This posting represents an active vacancy within our organization. Our anticipated compensation range for this role is $85,000–$110,000 per year, with the final salary determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications. We are an equal opportunity employer for all qualified individuals. We are committed to creating a diverse and welcoming workplace that includes partners with diverse backgrounds and experiences. We believe that enables us to better meet our mission and values while serving customers. Should you be contacted for an interview, please advise if accommodation is required. Please note that due to the number of applicants only those who will be considered for an interview will be contacted. Please note that we may utilize AI tools as part of our recruitment process.
