Industry Leading Wages Annual Paid Operations Shutdown (in addition to Paid Vacation Days) Complimentary Daily Lunch Program Car and safety boot allowance Company-Paid Health & Dental Coverage Coordinating Benefits Life Insurance where applicable Group Benefits & Perks (including Goodlife & Bell Mobile) Use of ADP (HR Portal) – easily access your employee information, paystubs & schedule time off Recognition Programs (contributions, milestones etc.) Bi-Weekly Payments directly to your bank account You will Bring * Post-Secondary Education in Construction, Project Management or a related field * 2-5 years’ experience in low rise construction in a similar role * Proficiency with MS Office Suite, NewStar (OLS, OLW), Dropbox and other related Management software Exceptional Skills Required * Ability to plan, manage and adhere to a Project Schedule * Ability to assist with supporting the Construction Teams - monitoring progress, providing reports and assisting in ensuring compliance with our safety policies & regulatory requirements * Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal) * The ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment * Ability to exchange information clearly and concisely * Strong organizational and administrative skills * A willingness to support the Team, as required, and participate in a collaborative manner, including internal weekly meetings held by Management * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to follow directives * Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings * Strong time management and multitasking skills to ensure that tasks get completed on time * Proficiency in organizing & prioritizing competing demands * Regular access to a reliable vehicle with a G Class driving permit Key Responsibilities * Support assigned Project Manager(s) in the production of homes from backfill to closing * Manage various stages of production in new home construction * Review and maintain working drawings, specifications, scopes, construction & sales details * Track and update assigned tasks via On Location Schedule (OLS) and On Location Warranty (OLW) * Complete checklists including Task-Specific lists, 1st Handyman, 2nd Handyman, Move-In Ready and Pre Delivery Inspections * Manage Lot Schedules and trade management * Ensure Caivan’s quality standards & Caivan Performance Guidelines are maintained, and perform daily quality checks on production homes * Support the Project Manager(s) with preparations for City Inspections * Conduct site tours, safety inspections and lead by example to ensure policies, procedures and standards are adhered to * Report any day-to-day problems on the job site (as they arise) diligently to the Project Manager(s) * Contribute to overall site cleanup and cleanliness * Build and maintain relationships with trade partners * Perform other duties, as required Working Conditions * The job description implies the performance of repetitive tasks. * The majority of time is spent on construction sites * PPE is required at all times in field settings (steel toes, hard hat, Hi-Vis) * Work may involve exposure to weather, noise, dust, and high-risk activities * The position is situated on a busy, high-volume construction site with constant activity, including large machinery We carefully review all applications and will contact candidates whose skills, experience, and qualifications most closely align with the requirements of the position.
