Job summary
A growing construction team in Edmonton is looking for a Project Coordinator (Edmonton) to keep commercial projects organized, documented, and moving forward. If you thrive on turning moving parts into clear plans and clean records—and you like balancing office coordination with the occasional site visit—this role puts you right at the center of the action, supporting one Project Manager across active builds. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $65,000–$75,000, with some flexibility for the right candidate Bonus: Based on individual and company performance Benefits: Medical, prescription drug and dental coverage, with premiums split 50/50 between Carlson and the employee Vacation: 2–3 weeks Responsibilities Prepare and manage project documentation including contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project logs Support scheduling, budgeting, resource planning, reporting, and progress tracking under the direction of the Project Manager Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and field teams to keep productivity and timelines on track Maintain accurate logs for milestones, deficiencies, approvals, and deliverables, and follow up on action items Assist with permits and approvals by coordinating with municipalities, consultants, and regulatory bodies Support shop drawing and deliverable reviews for accuracy and compliance Help manage closeout documentation including as-built drawings and substantial performance records Conduct site visits and walkthroughs as required and support safety orientations and meetings Qualifications 2–3 years of experience in construction project coordination, ideally with commercial projects (some residential exposure is fine) Strong experience with construction documentation workflows including RFIs, submittals, change orders, minutes, and logs High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Confident communicator who can work effectively with PMs, superintendents, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers Comfortable working in-office and travelling to Edmonton-area sites as needed with a valid driver’s licence Software skills with construction and office tools such as Vista ERP, ProjectSight, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Teams Nice to have: general contractor experience, Construction Engineering Technology diploma (or equivalent), C.E.T., PMP (or in progress), WHMIS and First Aid, Alberta Construction Association safety courses, budget and cash flow support experience At Aplin — together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems — we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
