Skills and experience Proven experience managing complex IT infrastructure, cloud operations, or shared-services transformation programs. Ability to develop and maintain integrated program plans, including scope, schedule, milestones, resources, and deliverables. Strong risk, issue, assumption, and dependency management, with timely escalation and resolution. Experience establishing program governance, decision forums, status reporting, and executive steering committee updates. Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and drive delivery across teams without direct reporting authority. Experience with stakeholder engagement, organizational change management, and adoption planning. Working knowledge of IT service management, including incident, problem, change, and service level management. Ability to define success measures, acceptance criteria, and benefits realization plans. Experience managing vendor deliverables and third-party dependencies. Strong executive communication, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Database Operations experience is preferred but not required; PMP/PgMP, ITIL certification is a plus. A strong candidate should be able to: Build and manage an integrated plan across all six transformation pillars. Convert ambiguity into workstreams, owners, milestones, dependencies, decisions, and exit criteria. Establish clear accountability between the DBA team as service provider, individual service owners, technical owners, business consumers, and executive sponsors. Drive managers and workstream leads to own outcomes without requiring director-level escalation. Escalate early with options and recommendations—not just status updates. Manage resistance from divisions, application teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and regional stakeholders. Lead organizational change involving new roles, centralized governance, support boundaries, staffing, succession, and MSP participation. Communicate effectively with executives while retaining enough technical depth to challenge assumptions. Good-to-haves (these candidates will be prioritized): Database Operations experience Cloud certifications PMP or PgMP certification
