SCRUM Master

Job Overview 

As a Scrum Master, you will join our Product Oriented Delivery (POD) teams to support the delivery of quality products and services within our ecommerce unit within IT department. You will be responsible for the adoption and practice of Agile values and principles. 

This role reports into the Director IT, eCommerce and you will be at the core of building relationships with delivery partners, helping identify and remove impediments, and enabling the work of innovative teams that is at the outset of an agile journey 

As a scrum master, you do understand how collaboration and cooperation can be used to not only get the best out of a team but best for the product, services and the organization

Essential Duties

• Responsible for guiding 1-2 team(s).   Overseeing and/or facilitating the effective practice of day-to-day agile ceremonies in order to realize value from them.  Providing coaching and support to the team on Agile principles and values, and guiding them to practice them with use of several methods, tools and techniques
• Assist teams in cooperating with other teams and Scrum Masters to integrate (and eventually eliminate) cross dependencies for completion of releasable deliverables
• In collaboration with the Product Owner, ensure the team’s backlogs are always sufficiently full (at minimum 2-3 sprints worth of work defined).
• Plan deliverables and help the teams to monitor performance. Assist with internal and external communication and improve transparency by creating visible information radiators (burndowns, velocity chart, etc.), dashboards and demos.  Provide metric reports to assist in product roadmap planning.

Experience, Education, Certifications (List minimum required to enter the role.)

Bachelor’s Degree preferably in any information Technologies (IT), Business discipline or related field.
Scrum Master certification. CSM or PSM preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience as Scrum Master for a software development team
Minimum of 2 years of experience with other Agile methodologies (Kanban, etc.) and toolsets (Atlassian suite, etc.)
Retail Experience will be an added advantage
