As a project delivery manager, you contribute to IT efficiency. You actively help direct material, time, IT and human resources on moderately to highly complex cross-sector business solution and security projects to meet the needs of the organization and more specifically the Desjardins Group Security Office sectors. You analyze project feasibility and opportunity, develop action plans, define milestones and coordinate project teams to meet objectives on time and on budget.

Your role is to supervise and coordinate the contributors involved in delivering the application and technology component of one or more large, innovative projects within set deadlines and budgets. You ensure the availability of technological platforms needed for project delivery and the smooth running of the delivered solution. You plan, prioritize and coordinate work to deliver on the commitments made in line with the objectives. You ensure the quality of deliverables and the performance and engagement of contributors. The nature of the initiatives and projects require in depth and extensive expertise in your field.

You are responsible for strategic projects with a high degree of operational and conceptual complexity, requiring analysis and a comprehensive, detailed understanding of the business and the organization. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in a variety of fields. Highly developed interpersonal skills are therefore essential.

You act as a specialist and play a leadership role for both decision-making bodies and work teams.

General Information on the Position

Main responsibilities

  • Plan deliverables for the application and technology component. Estimate project costs, taking into account issues, complexity, practitioners and tie-ins with other projects.

  • Supervise and coordinate contributors involved in delivering the application and technology component. Ensure team performance and quality control and identify project-specific standards, methods and procedures.

  • Coordinate deliverables and ensure agreements, budgets and timelines are respected. Ensure performance of the application and technology component and alignment with priorities.

  • Analyze risks and impacts for the application and technology component and develop strategies to address them.

  • Work with the project leader to manage change requests, solution testing and strategies for the application and technology component. Ensure availability of the application layer of infrastructure platforms.

  • Bachelor's degree

  • At least 8 years of project delivery experience

  • Experience in an Agile environment

  • Knowledge of security, compliance and risk management (an asset)

  • Knowledge of Jira

  • Independent speaker, upper intermediate knowledge of English
