As Product Owner, you represent the voice of the client in projects and are responsible for the member/client experience. You assemble a range of products and services with a consistent process to ensure a positive member/client experience. You work closely with the project promoter and the business analyst to ensure that the solution meets user needs and the project's expected benefits are delivered. You manage relationships with the project's various stakeholders. Your ability to engage others is therefore an essential skill.

You lead and influence your squads' specialists and stakeholders in planning and development projects, feasibility studies, and complex, highly innovative strategic interventions involving multiple sectors. In this regard, you help develop and recommend strategic directions and business positions.

You make recommendations on the development and execution of initiatives and projects that have a very high degree of operational and conceptual complexity, and that have a major impact on the business sector's orientations. These require analysis and an overall, in-depth understanding of the business and the organization. Coordination is critical. You must interact with a very large number of stakeholders working in a variety of fields of expertise.

You serve as an expert advisor and subject matter expert as well as a resource person and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies.

General Information on the Position

Main responsabilities

  • Manage a number of major initiatives, such as the rollout of security tools supporting the software development life cycle, including SonarCube, Contrast and OWASP.

  • Establish the product backlog for projects, mandates and development activities specific to your field of expertise and squads, the scope and impact of which are significant for the business and for Desjardins Group as a whole.

  • Advise your clients and partners to help them position, plan, develop, execute and monitor strategic projects and initiatives for which you are responsible.

  • Develop and update policies, standards, models and programs to support your unit's strategic projects and initiatives.

  • Identify and analyze problems, raise any major issues, develop diagnostics and make recommendations to the decision-making bodies concerned regarding business solutions and key market-development strategies and tactics.

  • Coach other product owners.

  • Represent your unit in dealings with senior management committees and decisionâ€'making bodies.

  • Represent Desjardins in negotiating and entering into agreements with external organizations and partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience

  • Experience in security governance, risk assessment and the creation of cybersecurity strategies

  • University degree in engineering, IT, business administration or a related field (an asset)

  • Experience in a product owner role and in complex, large-scale environments (an asset)

  • For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required

Specific knowledge

  • Knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities

  • Knowledge of the ISO 27001 standard, NIST and major compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS

  • Advanced proficiency in English, both oral and written
