Manager, Marketing – Environmental Strategy Project

Two-year term position – Toronto, ON

This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative marketing and business leader to play a key role within Canada Post's environmental strategy.

As Manager of Marketing for the Environmental Strategy Project, you'll be responsible for the development and implementation of the Environmental program for the Commercial Mail Line of Business, as well as managing the program with Canada Post's partners, specifically for all customer segments. Your experience in leading a major project will also have prepared you to plan, develop, and manage the execution of programs and initiatives such as marketing, communication and operations, and collaborate with internal support groups and the Direct Mail eco-system to ensure program objectives are being met.

Acting as a subject matter expert, you'll be the point of contact on all aspects of the program, engaging with Sales and Marketing teams and other stakeholders to ensure the program is integrated with their objectives and activities, and representing the program in sales meetings, product seminars and trade shows.


You bring a successful track record to the role of Marketing Manager – Environmental Strategy Project:

  • A university degree, preferably in a related field such as Business or Marketing, OR a combination of equivalent professional experience and training.
  • A certificate, diploma or degree in Project Management, OR a combination of equivalent experience and training.
  • MBA degree, an asset.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant functional experience.
  • At least 2 years of project management experience, leading a major project for an organization.
  • Experience in channel management and program development, an asset.
  • An understanding of Partner Relationship Management, an asset.
  • Proficient computer skills and competency with Microsoft Office programs, including knowledge of MS Project and MS Access for project management.
  • Sound organizational, analytical, judgement and decision-making skills, with proven abilities in problem-solving.
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly-matrixed organization requiring superior skills in critical thinking, influencing and managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in English.
