As a Scotia embarks on transforming the way we keep the bank safe we are looking for Project Management Leaders to implement new operational and IT initiatives to enhance functionality of compliance programs across multiple geographies. This multi-year plan will work with multiple workstreams to lead strategies and programs with a global audience.

In this role, you will:

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Provide expertise on project management practices and advise the team on the integration of waterfall and agile methodology into their projects.
  • Manage project schedule, budget, RAID, and related status updates
  • Lead monitoring project transformational design and maintains traction throughout
  • Plans delivery of assigned projects including work plans, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Manage project schedules including resources, timelines, budget, and related communications.
  • Support Program Governance and maintenance of materials (Charter, Committees, processes, following the EDF guidelines, Sharepoint maintenance)
  • Lead execution of Operational Readiness, New Initiative Risk Assessment (NIRA), Architecture Governance and Third-Party Risk Management across the portfolio
  • Support reporting and governance routines such as weekly status meetings, change request process, and financial support (business case reporting/development, DPMO support in partnership with finance)
    Reporting – as needed – (steering co, croc and roc (before consultant time), VP+, road show, Program level in PPM tool and others as required

We’d love to work with you if you have:

  1. 7 to 10 years of progressive, relevant, and practical Project Management experience including:
    • Waterfall/Agile
    • Project planning
    • Scheduling
    • Assessing issues and risks
  2. Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification is preferred
  3. Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills as well as in the creation of presentations and new reports
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint)
  5. Leadership Skills – able to drive and lead
  6. Knowledge and/or experience of the banking industry and the lines of business
  7. Experience with implementing in-house built solutions (from the business side)
  8. Flexibility to adapt to a variety of tasks and functions and changing priorities
  9. Excellent analytical, planning, project management, attention to detail and organizational skills
  10. Fluent in Spanish (highly preferred)
  11. University Undergraduate Program Degree with a Certification in Adult Learning
