In this role reporting to the Director, Strategic Policy & Planning and working with the Executive Officer, Dean and Senior Academic Administrators in the Lassonde School of Engineering, you will provide project management for new initiatives and/or program development for the advancement of the School and its academic programs and operations. The Manager, Special Initiatives is expected to provide professional project management and analytical expertise in support of all phases of projects, including oversight, coordination, implementation, execution, control and successful completion of initiatives and projects consistent with the organizational and business goals of the Lassonde School of Engineering.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:
Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Engineering),PMP designation (or similar project management accreditation) is required. Current and applied knowledge in project management methodology. Minimum of 5 years recent project management experience overseeing a wide variety of projects and working with stakeholders at various levels. Experience must include successfully managing multiple service improvement projects including project planning, timelines, milestones, issues/risks/dependencies. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in an academic environment. Strong working knowledge of project management and change management methodologies and quality assurance techniques are required.
