Here's what you will do as part of the team:

  • Evaluate organizational business needs, strategic directions, and identify opportunities through facilitated events to maximize operational efficiencies.
  • Lead cross-departmental teams to analyze, plan, and/or implement corporate level programs/projects in support of the broader corporate strategy and business objectives.
  • Provide recommendations on functionality and applicability of solutions and validation of assumptions, cost savings, etc. to meet business requirements.
  • Conduct and/or coordinate post implementation reviews of corporate programs relating to projects, programs, business plans, budgets and the strategic plan.
  • Assume lead responsibility for developing, championing, directing and /or maintaining at least one of the following areas impacting  corporate governance:
    1. Corporate Policy and Accountability Framework:  Coordinate, facilitate create/amend corporate policies and monitor/action Board decisions affecting accountability framework.
    2. Corporate Performance Measurement / Balanced Scorecard:  Research, facilitate the development of and report on corporate performance measurement and operational / tactical objectives, ensuring department and corporate alignment.
    3. Continuous Improvement Business Projects:  Provide consulting and facilitation services to support continuous improvement initiatives, including managing the project process (ie. 100 Day project framework) and training project leads/sponsors.
  • Lead and mentor your team while fostering a creative, collaborative and empowered environment and promoting a customer-oriented service delivery approach.
  • Provide input to annual Branch operational goals, identify unit operating budget requirements, and identify and develop plans to mitigate variances against budget.

Here's what you will need to succeed:

  • At least 5 years of experience in business planning and project management, including management of corporate-wide change management initiatives.
  • Completion of post-secondary education in public administration, business administration, commerce, economics or similar program.
  • Excellent facilitation skills with sound knowledge of facilitation techniques.
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative research, analysis and issues-based problem solving.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Proven leadership skills to build, lead and manage a team of professionals, influence stakeholders and provide strategic advice.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with peer and executive audiences; and
  • Advanced level of skill in using Microsoft Office Products: Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint, and the ability to develop standardized reporting routines.
