The Business Analytics Insight Manager will be responsible for leading business analytic and consumer insight related activities across designated businesses within McCormick’s consumer portfolio of brands. The individual in this role, as a key member of cross-functional Business Teams, will be charged with influencing business building strategies by way of delivering an intimate understanding of business results, drivers, and integration with our insights understanding to enable business growth. The successful candidate will assist the Marketing Business Analytics team in the development and execution of category and brand growth stories, building data science tools via Nielsen Point-of-Sale data and other data sources, and provide market insight through the collection of relevant local and global market trends.


  • Provide proactive consultation to Business Teams, support brand strategy through synthesized analytics, market and competitive insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and execute analytics and consumer projects with a strong emphasis on identifying innovative analytic and visualization solutions that promote more efficient insight generation.
  • Lead analytic and consumer projects specific to business area of responsibility, with particularly strong emphasis on identifying innovative analytic methods and approaches that promote deeper levels of analytical understanding.
  • Track relevant marketplace trends to identify and champion business opportunities along with related activation plans
  • Secure funding for major strategic projects identified, negotiate for key resources as needed to meet business objectives


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, or related discipline
  • Proven Project Management Leadership experience with demonstrated success in prioritizing and balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated analytical skills (analyzing data, deriving insights)
  • 5+ years of Consumer Products Marketing Research experience, with demonstrated Business Analytics capabilities and impact or equivalent. Ability to integrate and synthesize learnings from data analytics + primary and secondary research; translating complicated information into compelling stories. Analytics toolset skills a strong plus (Tableau, PowerBI, coding, etc.)
  • Effective consulting and interpersonal/collaboration skills
  • Excellent written, oral, presentation and storytelling skills
  • Must be self-motivated, possess excellent communication and organization skills, project a professional image, and interact effectively with all levels within the organization


  • MBA
  • Food CPG background
  • Proficient knowledge of business analytics and syndicated services (including POS and panel applications, marketing mix, media optimization, and pricing analytics)
