Job Description :
As an Electrical and Instrumentation Project Manager in the BBA Vancouver office, you will lead and contribute to the execution of projects in conceptual, design, construction, commissioning and operational phases for our clients in the Energy, Industrial and Mining sectors. The responsibilities of this role include performing the following activities to the highest quality:
• Manage and lead single and multidisciplinary projects from proposal through to completion; • Work collaboratively with clients, engineers, designers and drafters in the preparation of deliverables to BBA and client standards; • Bring an innovative approach to deliver projects to the best value for our clients while adhering to BBA procedures; • Review and approve engineering design packages including reports, studies, estimates, budgets, schedules, drawings, calculations, specifications, quotations, proposals, presentations; • Visit client remote sites and offices; • Oversee and prepare proposals including scoping, cost estimate and schedule; • Train, coach, mentor and supervise other Engineers, Technicians and drafters; • Maintain and grow business relationships and the quality of BBA’s professional services.

For this position, we are looking for candidates with the following experience:
• Electrical Engineering Degree, or similar; • 10+ years of relevant project experience; • Registered with EGBC as a P.Eng or eligible to register with EGBC as a P.Eng. within the next year; • Excellent communication skills with high competency in English (both spoken and written); • Excellent organizational skills; • Aspirational leadership acumen; • Ability to travel on short notice to customer sites and other BBA offices; • Experience leading projects or work packages; • Experience preparing and reviewing project deliverables such as reports, studies, estimates, budgets, schedules, drawings, calculations, specifications, quotations, proposals, presentations; • Experience preparing and reviewing project estimates;
The following experience will be valued, but is not necessary:
• Knowledge of Automation, instrumentation and communication systems; • Knowledge of HV & MV systems in the Energy, Industrial and Mining sectors; • Knowledge of electrical equipment specifications, testing and commissioning; • Experience with projects in the mining, or industrial sectors; • Experience leading and managing projects, including design reviews, costs, schedules; • knowledge of electrical installation safety; • PMP Certification.
